FixTunes

I’ve just bought FixTunes, which is a piece of software to automagically fix all artwork, song names, album names, etc in iTunes. It works on a backend database which has been populated with tonnes of data. It really does seem to be amazing!

Anyway I recommend anyone buying it who needs to sort out their iTunes library. Ours has 7110 songs in it and I certainly didn’t want to manually go through and fix all the songs!

It can be tried for free as well – go grab it: http://www.fixtunes.com/

  2. No problem, although my name is Matt, not Paul! But he might also be interested in FixTunes… I’ll let him know

  4. What a pile of rubbish. Downloaded and attempted to run. Software couldn’t connect to look anything up. Went looking for the settings and couldn’t see any way to check any settings to try and find out why it can’t connect (and it’s not firewall before any suggests that)

  5. Hey Martin. Sorry that you didn’t have a very good time with FixTunes. I’m sure Kelly would like to pipe up and maybe help explain why you had issues.

I found that with FixTunes you have to be prepared to keep clicking fix or skip on all your tunes. It took me quite a while, but it was definitely a helpful piece of software.

Hope you manage to get it working.

  7. Program is rubbish for me. tried renaming Lightspeed Champion and all the track names came up as one song “Dry Lips” ALL OF THEM.
    annoying.

  8. Lamboi, That is frustrating. FixTunes uses the information that is already in your song tags to find the missing song information so in your case this probably happened because of a lack of song data. FixTunes has a very large database of music so in most cases FixTunes will be able to find a match if there is enough song data to make a comparison. I’m sorry that FixTunes was not helpful for you with that album.

  9. fixtunes ruined my itunes collection. i had to restore a backup. the main problem was where a track might exist in the real world on several compilation albums, my neat and tidy single album was then split across many compilation albums. really really annoying. avoid.
