Job hunting

As many people will know, having just come back from 10 months of travelling, I’m actively searching for a job. Well, to be more precise, a career. It’s been a bit of a struggle at the moment because I have had one offer but I turned it down because it’s not really what I want to do long term and they want me to start ASAP, when what I really want to do is have some time over the summer to really decide what I want to do.

I’ve been really looking into the world of technology & engineering and found a few interesting companies, but none really stick out to me. The other option is setting up a business, which is something I’d really like to do, but I think it’s a project for the future.

Anyway, I’m going to apply to a few companies and see what they have to offer.

  1. Have you thought about temp work? It is a great way to try out a few industries and roles and get some experience whilst getting paid.

My website specialises in temporary jobs across the UK, we are at early stages, it would still be worthwhile registering on the site and keeping your eyes open it is free of charge – got nothing to lose, in fact you could be in with a chance to win a Dell laptop!

Wishing all success in your job hunt,

  2. Hi! You may want to consider an internship. This is a great way to gain experience and insight into a particular industry and see if it’s the right one for you. Most are 6 months long but there are some which are longer or shorter.

On Entrypark.com we work with the top global companies worldwide such as adidas, KPMG, KONE and Philips and promote their internships and traineeships. If you register with us you’re able to filter the types of jobs you’re interested in and if you complete your registration in full then these companies can contact you directly with internship/job offers!

Furthermore, many internships are international so this is also an opportunity for you to boost your CV and gain experience of living and working abroad.

Just go to http://www.entrypark.com and register today to search our internships/jobs database.

    Good luck!
