Cambridge punting, CV stress, is it really worth getting a job?
On Sunday, Helen and I went to Cambridge to meet up with a few friends and see my sister. It was a really nice time as we spent the time as tourists by going punting and wandering around the shops (although not slowly like the stupid tourists that wander around at 0.01mph!). It was great to relax and enjoy the place.
Now we’re back in Witney with Helen’s family which is great, but it has also meant we’ve had to start doing job searching again. I’ve just finished putting together my CV which I’ve managed to send off to a couple of places. Also, Paul is kindly helping me put together a new design for my online CV website, so hopefully that will be live soon.
Anyway, is it really worth getting a job when the stresses of writing CVs, covering letters and then sending them off by far outweighs the fun that can be had on a day visiting a lovely town in England? I think really I do want to get a job soon though… just still looking for that perfect job!

Have you thought about temp work? It is a great way to try out a few industries and roles and get some experience whilst getting paid.
My website specialises in temporary jobs across the UK, we are at early stages, it would still be worthwhile registering on the site and keeping your eyes open it is free of charge – got nothing to lose, in fact you could be in with a chance to win a Dell laptop!
Wishing all success in your job hunt,
